A fun, easy, and inexpensive way to make your own file-folder games is by using Wrapping Paper!
Supplies:
- File-Folders
- Wrapping paper - try to find some that has pictures of things you can easily cut out.
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue stick or double-stick tape
Here's what you do:
- Figure out what kind of file folder game you want to make with the wrapping paper you have.
- Cut out the pictures, glue or tape them on the file folder. Glue or tape the corresponding ones to cardstock.
Here are a few ideas using wrapping paper we had:
Cupcake MATCHING:
(Have the child place the matching cupcake on top of the ones in the file-folder.)
Birthday Dinosaurs DIRECTIONS:
Snowman & Snowflake COUNTING:
(Have the child count as they place the matching snowmen & snowflakes on top of the ones on the file folder.)
Christmas Picture MATCHING:
(Have the child place the matching pictures on top of the ones in the file folder.)
Reindeer PATTERNS:
(Have the child match the patterns in the file folder, OR continue the patterns to the right of the file folder.)
