We played a game with spider legs to practice counting and also to do some simple addition. The Spiders are cut out of construction paper, with googly eyes glued on and a happy smile. The legs are pipe-cleaners (chenille sticks) cut and slightly bent. (We made 2 different spiders so the boys could each have their own.)
Here's how we played:
- Roll the dice and write the number on the board. Place that many legs on your spider.
- Roll the dice again and write the 2nd number on the board. Place that many legs on your spider.
- Count up all the legs and write the answer on the board.
Or you could just roll the dice and put on that many legs without the addition aspect.
Or you could just glue the legs on for a fun craft!
So many possibilities.......
