Here are the rest of the Halloween activities we have done lately. Enjoy!
At our Library Story Time, we made paper pumpkins using construction paper and glue.
My friend gave me a great idea to make candy corn cookies. You make sugar cookie dough, split it up into 3 bowls, put food coloring into each one to get the colors you want (leave the white color plain), roll the dough into thin strips of each color and cut into triangles.
We made spiders out of each of my boys' hand-prints. We put eyes on with construction paper, and drew on a happy smile. We glued them onto cardstock and made Halloween cards for Grandparents!
For this craft, we used construction paper that we cut into small strips, then stapled them together to make circles. We glued them to a piece of cardstock in a pumpkin shape and then put it in a frame.
And treats are always a necessity when it comes to Halloween. We made chocolate cupcakes with Orange frosting. yummy.
Another fun craft was to make pumpkin faces with foam pumpkins, and a bunch of foam shapes. LM was able to just take the sticker backs right off the shapes and make faces all by himself!
Other Halloween activities we've done lately have been picking out pumpkins at a pumpkin farm, pumpkin carving, Halloween party, Trick or Treating, and tomorrow's treat will be Witches Hats made from round sugar cookies, frosting, and upside-down ice cream cones.
Happy Halloween!!!
